The new Sensor Kit (V2) adds:
a fun LED light strip that you program and control with the micro:bit.
a OLED monitor that you can use to display text. It is super small but a huge step up from scrolling data in the LED field of the micro:bit. 
a temperature and humidity sensor that can be used for collecting temperature and humidity temperature for you scientific experiments.
We did get did of the motors since they seemed to fit better in the motion kit or you can purchase them seperatly.  The kit still contains devices that sense distance and light as well as wires and a breadboard to tie them all together.
 
Using the micro:bit kits, you will gain skills in critical thinking and collaboration, creativity and build confidence. This mirco:bit based kit does not include a micro:bit but includes these devices to extend your Base Kit and build dozens of projects. 
 
Note: The Sensor Kit does not include a micro:bit, an edge connector, or a breadboard. These components are all included in the Base Kit.
